【PAOLO GUCCI / Paolo Gucci】
A fashion designer, and the grandson of Guccio Gucci, the founder of the Italian fashion brand Gucci, who was called a heretic. He clashed with his father, Aldo Gucci, the second generation of Gucci, and the management, and was expelled from Gucci in 1984. After that, he launched his own brand "Paolo Gucci" and developed watches, etc., but repeatedly went to court with the original Gucci over trademark issues, and eventually the original Gucci bought all the rights of Paolo Gucci to settle the matter. Although he did not succeed as a brand due to the original's disapproval and his father's obstruction, Paolo Gucci's design sense was outstanding among the Gucci family, and he was a designer with solid ability.
